Height 32" Width 15"
Materials: fire sculpted wood, paint, dye, oatmeal, and plaster.

As I walked day in and day out past a piece of scrap wood that was lying in a pile of trash, slowly, I began to like its shape. For some reason it spoke to me. I took it home and a few days later I decided to burn it. I often use fire in my artwork as a means to introduce randomness and to accentuate organic forms. The whole process is undertaken without knowing what the end results will be.
